Three motor vehicles are provided by the Project “Enhancing Belize’s Resilience to Adapt to the Effects of Climate Change”. The project aims to enhance adaptive capacity and resilience to climate change in national policies and demonstrate action in support of effective governance of climate change and climate change related impacts in the water sector in Belize.

A 4-day training is held in Belize, as one of the activities under the “Strengthening Women’s Representation in National Leadership in Belize“ project being implemented by WIN-Belize with funding from the United Nations Democracy Fund. It supports strengthening of the capacity of civil society organizations to forge the development of an inclusive, political platform to institutionalize equal and informed participation and leadership of women in national elections and by extension the national political processes.

24 young men from Southside Belize City are participating in a five-month programme that will allow them to get life-skills guidance and training for employment including through apprenticeship. They will receive certificates, which will allow them to access opportunities to become employed or to re-enter formal education.
